Eula Mae Heath, 87, of Chilhowie, VA, peacefully gained her angel wings on Friday, May 28, 2021 while surrounded by her loved ones at her home.
Eula was born on May 7, 1934 in Smyth County, a daughter to the late William and Frankie Trivett. She married the love of her life, Buddy Heath on June 19, 1958, whom preceded her in death in 1996. Together, they had five children. She loved to play solitaire, watch Days of Our Lives, listening to gospel music and preaching. Eula enjoyed the daily calls from her sister, Mill and loved kids especially those great grandbabies; Lucas, Lexi, Roman, Grayson, Shaun, Gavin, Karley, and Alicia. Her dumplins are unforgettable! She worked at Superior Mills and Natlie Knitting for some time before having a knee replacement.
She is preceded in death not only by her parents and husband, but also one brother, Robert Trivett; two sisters, Clyde Adams and Kathern Combs; a son, Gene; and a great granddaughter, Selena.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Roe and husband Jessie of Glade Spring, Va., Cynthia Shatley and husband Bill of Chilhowie, Va., Carla Sheets of Eggleston, Va., Connie Heath of Marion, Va.; one son Bobby Trivett of Marion, Va.; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two loving sisters; Mildred and Margaret; and several nieces and nephews; all whom she loved dearly.
Family would like to send a special thank you to Wythe Hospice of SWVA for their help and care over the past few months. As well as special caretakers; Jeremy, Marie, and Spencer.
Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home of Chilhowie with Joe Powers, Dennis Eller, and John Surber officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on St. Clairs Creek Road, where she will be laid to rest between her beloved husband and son. Pallbearers will include; Spencer McMillon, Billy 'Boo' Shatley, Billy Shatley, Larry Davenport.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Wythe Hospice of SWVA.
