Eva Marie Marchant Blevins, 79, woke up in Heaven on Wednesday, February 08, 2017 after a brief hospital stay. Mrs. Blevins was a retired seamstress having worked for Tultex for many years. Eva was the daughter of the late Adam and Bertha Marchant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Marcus A. Martin; two brothers, Lloyd Marchant and Everett Marchant; and sister, Lacie Marchant. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Curtis Blevins of Chilhowie; children, Vicky Henderson and husband Robert of Chilhowie, Susan Martin of Bristol, Va., and Lisa Martin and husband Burton of Rural Retreat, Va.; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Jane Wood and husband David of Boones Mill, Va.; sister-in-law, Katherine Marchant of Louisiana.. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Friday, February 10, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Howard and Pastor Wes Eller officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Cleghorn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 pm prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Eva's friends and caregivers, Angie and Tony Delp, and to the CCU staff at JMH for their loving care.
